The Detroit Builders Guild is a trade organization for the people who actually pull the permits, pour the foundations, and walk the property with inspectors. Building here is hard enough alone. The Guild exists so building in this city gets easier for everyone.
Other builders who know what it's like to be in the trenches of Detroit infill construction. A trade group with a seat at the table that can't be ignored.
Everything a member has already paid to learn, zoning setbacks, fee logic, inspection order, what a reviewer will actually kick back, collected in one place instead of locked in one builder's head.
Working software, from a PDF plan separator to a parcel zoning lookup, built by members and handed back to everyone who joins after.
Membership is open to licensed Detroit builders.
Contributing to the guild means contributing to the greater good of Detroit. Thousands of homes are needed, and the builders here are the ones who can build them.
We raise up the next generation of Detroit builders, so this trade keeps producing people who know these blocks the way we do.
We're actively seeking licensed Detroit builders to join. There's no cost, just the work you're already doing and the willingness to build alongside people doing the same.
